What's New Fall 2012?

There are a few changes I've made this year to what I'm offering at the craft fairs.  Here's the run down:

• The ingredients list has been revised to comply with INCI 2nd edition guidelines.  This mostly impacts the name used for Vitamin E (tocopheryl acetate) and the names used for colorants.
• I've created a new vegan formula and have changed Relief to this formula and also added Lavenilla.  Both of these use essential oils.  You'll know they're different by their green caps.
• Spring has been changed by using a different colorant.  It is now a almost nude, sheer pink with no sparkle.
• Summer has been removed from the line temporarily to be redesigned.
• Shimmer has been added to the line.  Shimmer just adds sparkle, but no color.  It works great over other colors of any lip product you use.  For this reason, it is unscented.
• Pink Poppy has been replaced by Cupcake.  Cupcake is sheerer and more pink than coral, but has lots of sparkle.  It has a frosting flavor.
• Stellar Bronze has been added to the line.  It is a sheer chocolate brown with lots of sparkle.  It has a hazelnut latte flavor.
• Sweetener (stevia) has been removed from all of the colored glosses.
• The new limited edition flavor this year is:  Pina Colada!!

What One Can Discover in the Breakroom

I was in the break room this morning waiting for the clock to turn the magic 7:53 so I could swipe in. There was a mark. magalog on the table. For those of you who don't know mark., it is an AVON spin-off geared towards teens and college aged gals.

As I was paging through, I came across this product:

It comes in just 4 colors and I'd like you to look closely at the colors... Don't they look an awful lot like Osmosis Seasons?!

No, I'm not thinking they ripped me off!

What I'm thinking is what a great idea... Go ahead and try it! There is no reason why you can't use your Seasons as blush.

The other product I came across is this:

I've been meaning to try a lip tint and I may check into this one. The thing about a lip tint, is that it stains your skin and does pretty much nothing else. I think this would be great under any flavor of the clear glosses. The color would last a long time and you would still be able to use your favorite Osmosis lip gloss!

Autumn Color at it's Peak!

Much like the season has been this year in MN, the color took a while to get here. I've been really appreciating the bright colored leaves this year because it's been so rainy and dreary. How blessed are we that God is such an artist!

Here is the long awaited launch of Autumn! Sorry it took so long. A few friends got a sneak peak at homecoming a few weeks ago. I'm happy to say they are pleased with the color. It is a brown-red color that reminds me of a dewy oak leaf in the fall. I hope you like it!

Who doesn't love Winter?

It is official, and as much as I dislike typing the words: Winter Is Here!

Of course I wouldn't be this excited if it was the Winter weather I was talking about... but I love the Winter color added to the Osmosis line of colored glosses.

I've heard people describe it as a wine or plum color. It reminds me of a lipstick I used to wear a long, long time ago called Raspberry Ice. It is much darker than Spring and Summer.

Spring Has Sprung!

It is official, Spring is here and here to stay! Spring is the second in my line of colored glosses. For those who have had their colors analyzed, you know the difference between Spring and Summer. Summer is in the "warm" family along with Fall. Spring is in the "cool" family along with Winter.





Summer is a warm shimmery color. It really works well with tan skin. I have heard it described as a coral beige. It is a light, young color. Summer's scent is a fruity, flowery scent - a top note of rose.











Spring is a cool, sheer pink. It has a blue undertone to it which gives it it's coolness. It is a fresh, light color. It almost matches my hydrangea exactly! Spring's scent is also a fruity, flowery scent, but a sweeter scent.


I am currently working on adding an Autumn and Winter to the collection. Once I get those perfected, I will let you know!

Summer with SPF

Say hello to Summer!

This girly lip gloss has a little bit of shimmer and color.

The biggest deal with this one is the sun protection factor. The active ingredient is Titanium Dioxide. At approximately 10%, this lip gloss has an SPF of between 8 and 11.

Titanium Dioxide is a mineral used as a sunblock because it refracts light and absorbs UV rays. It is a very common sunblock, even gentle enough to use in children's sunblocks - check some of your sunblock labels!

Because Titanium Dioxide is a white opaque mineral, I've added some mica for color and shimmer.

Sorry to the guys, I don't have a lip balm with SPF for you yet!
